In News papers we are seeing the News that former Chief Minister of Karnataka H.D. Kumaraswamy, his wife and his son have assets worth Rs 49.72 crore against Rs 3.76 crore four years ago, a jump of around 13 times. He has to repay loans from his wife Anita to the tune of Rs 79.32 lakh. While Kumaraswamy’s personal assets are worth Rs 15.36 crore, his wife Anita has double that sum, valued at Rs 31.68 crore. Their son Nikhil has assets worth Rs 2.49 crore and liabilities worth Rs 1.45 crore.

In 2004, Congress politician and former Bangalore development minister V Somanna and his immediate family had assets worth Rs 2.61 crore. By 2008, their assets had grown by 10 times to reach Rs 21 crore. Of this, his assets are valued at Rs 2.93 crore. His wife has Rs 15.89 crore worth of property, including land worth Rs 12.8 crore in Bangalore and Doddaballapur.

Their sons B S Naveen and B S Arun have property worth Rs 1.09 crore and Rs 96.59 lakh, respectively. Their daughter B S Divya has property worth Rs 27.42 lakh. Former Congress MLA Dinesh Gundu Rao, whose immediate family didn’t own any property in 2004, now has family property worth Rs 20 crore. Rao owns property worth Rs 18 crore in Devanahalli and a house worth Rs 1 crore in R T Nagar. His wife has land worth Rs 1 crore on Race Course road. In 2004, BJP’s A Narayanaswamy had Rs 25.3 lakh as his immediate family’s assets. Now, the family has assets worth Rs 2.2 crore. This includes agricultural land worth Rs 1 crore and a house in HSR layout, Bangalore, worth an equal sum.

By coming again to the people the politicians are asking for Vote for them. Is it reasonable for a Voter to vote again for these unreliable LEADER’S like KUMARASWAMY? Man undertakes a course of action to achieve some goals. It will be fitness of things if the means adopted is in conformity with the goal. If the goal and the path to it are variance. It will not only be morally incorrect, but also counterproductive.

People should not again vote for those leaders, who have accumulated assets thro politics.
