In a fresh development in the sex scandal allegedly involving Swami Nithyananda, an employee, Nithya Dharmananda alias Lenin (45), who admitted to leaking out the sleaze tape, has been provided police security.


Lenin, who is now staying with a friend in Chennai, met police commissioner T. Rajendran on Friday and sought protection from Nithyananda’s disciples, whom he alleged were attempting to eliminate him. The police said he submitted, along with a petition seeking police protection, some DVDs containing more ‘scandalous’ footage to expose the godman. “As, according to Lenin, the alleged sexual acts of the godman in the tape took place in his Bidadi ashram in Karnataka, we will forward the petition to the police there. We will cooperate with the investigating officials,” said Rajendran. However, the Chennai police will investigate the cases of cheating and intimidation against the godman, he said.


The Coimbatore City crime branch police, too, have registered a case against the tainted godman for allegedly hurting religious feelings and cheating. On Wednesday, a local resident, T Vishwanath presented a petition to the city police commissioner Sylendra Babu demanding the arrest of Nithyananda for “hurting the sentiments of Hindus and cheating his devotees”. The petition was referred to the crime branch police which registered a case against the godman under Section 295 A (outraging religious sentiments) and 420 (cheating) of IPC.


Nithyananda advocate Sridhar says, after getting legal protection for Nithyananda , he will come outside and meet the people and prove himself as innocent. However, it is not known how a Sanyasi will have dance with young Girls in an embracing position? [Dinamalar Dated 8-3-2010] Sanyasi means he must leave the worldly pleasures and guide the people to do honest deeds.


People should not follow blindly immoral Saints.
