In Karnataka History a New B.J.P. era was born.

In Karnataka History a New B.J.P. era was born.

In Karnataka History, a new B.J.P. era was born in the state politics after BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa took oath as the 25th chief minister of Karnataka in the presence of Several lakhs of BJP supporters and national leaders, in front of the Vidhana Soudha at Bangalore on Friday May 30 afternoon. While this is the second time that Yeddyurappa has assumed power as the chief minister, it is for the first time that BJP has come into power in South India, on its own. Yeddyurappa attained this Victory by his tireless work and with the support of enthusiastic Party workers.

Governor Rameshwar Thakur administered oath of office to the members of the newly-formed council of ministers, in a glittering ceremony, witnessed by national leaders like BJP national president Rajnath Singh, leader of the opposition in Loksabha L K Advani, NDA convenor George Fernandes, Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, Punjab chief minister Prakash Singh Badal, ex Maharashtra deputy chief minister Gopinath Munde beside state MPs, swamijis and other leaders.

Yeddyurappa the humble B.J.P. Worker,

Yeddyurappa was born on February 27, 1943 in the village of Bookanakere in the Mandya district. His father Siddalingappa and mother Puttathayamma belonged to the Lingayat community. He was named after the presiding deity of a Shaivite temple built by the saint Siddalingeshwar at Yediyur, in Tumkur district. He lost his mother when he was just four year old. He completed his education with a degree in Bachelor of Arts.
In 1965, he got a job of a first-division clerk in the social welfare department but instead shifted to Shikaripur where he joined as a clerk at Veerabhadra Shastri's Shankar rice mill. In 1967, Yeddyurappa married Mythradevi, the daughter of Veerabhadra Shastri. He later set up a hardware shop in Shimoga.

Yeddyurappa has two sons; Raghavendra and Vijayendra and three daughters; Arunadevi, Padmavati and Umadevi. In 2004, he lost his wife when she accidentally fell into a water tank. In 2007, on the advice of his astrologer, he changed the spelling of his English name from Yediyurappa to Yeddyurappa to have luck on his side.
He was first elected to the lower house of Karnataka Legislature in 1983 and has since represented the Shikaripur constituency five times.

On behalf of BJP Friends web blog, we wish Yeddyurappa all success in his career as Chief Minister of Karnataka.

B.J.P. Hails big Victory in Karnataka.

B.J.P. Hails big Victory in Karnataka.

B.J.P. as expected hails big victory in Karnataka. The people of Karnataka voted for a clean rule, which BJP always having with its other states. We are herewith giving the news as published in the Chennai News Paper’s.

The Triumph Will Prove To Be A Turning Point: Advani

New Delhi: Its maiden victory across the Vindhyas comes as a huge morale booster for BJP barely months away from the Lok Sabha elections and is sure to gear up its rank and file for the next round of crucial assembly polls — in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh — coming up by the end of the year. While Sunday’s outcome has finally, as its Karnataka campaign manager Arun Jaitley pointed out, helped the BJP shake off the tag of a Hindi party, it is hoping for tangible spinoffs ahead of the next Lok Sabha polls. The party is viewing the majority in Karnataka — where it was mostly engaged in a direct fight with Congress, its chief rival for the Centre — as a warm up session to the fast approaching Lok Sabha battle. The buoyant mood was evident from L K Advani’s declaration, “The triumph in Karnataka will prove to be a turning point.” A jubiliant Leader of Opposition predicted that 2008 was going to be a “year of change.” BJP’s campaign managers feel that the first trophy in the South was facilitated by a whole host of factors from a very effective campaign to the pause in feuding between B S Yediyurappa and former union minister Ananth Kumar for which Advani and others had to work hard.
But what seems to be giving the party more comfort is that Karnataka has proved the potency of the armoury it plans to use in the Lok Sabha polls. The results are attributed to the way the saffron campaign capitalised on the unease over inflation, internal security and the farm sector distress — precisely the set of issues that the party has planned to use in the encounter for who gets to control the Centre.
But as the party gloats over the breakthrough in its decade-old effort to build upon the toehold it so far had in the South, many of its leaders seem to recognise the risk of complacency seeping in among colleagues known for their penchant for premature celebrations. The risk can be serious because the battle with Congress now shifts to the BJP-ruled states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Congress’s victory in the three states will reverse the momentum the saffron outfit appears to have gained because of the Karnataka outcome. It will also dwarf a possible win for BJP in Congress ruled Delhi, making Sonia Gandhi appear the favourite. As of now, however, BJP’s assertive showing in Karnataka can also help it hook potential NDA allies and acquire the upper hand in its dealings with the existing partners.
Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress, which also gained some new energy from the recent panchayat polls in West Bengal, has been playing tough to get. Even JD(U), which had been haggling for seats with BJP in Karnataka and finally ended up putting candidates against its ally in some seats, has been playing truant now and then.

We congratulate former Karnataka chief minister and BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa and his colleagues and other party workers for their tireless effort in bringing Victory to Bharatiya Janatha Party.

Bhutto was the only elected leader in Pakistan on the slogan “Roti, Kapda, makan.”

Bhutto was the only elected leader in Pakistan on the slogan “Roti, Kapda, makan.”

Pakistan was not created as a result of the demands of the people living in the area now forming Pakistan. It was imposed on them by the British and the Muslim minority of India. In the 1948 elections the provinces which to-day constitutes Pakistan did not vote for the Muslim league which advocated Pakistan. The Muslim League won its seats in East Bengal and in the Indian minority provinces under the separate electorate system.

On the basis of their All-India numerical strength in the central legislature, the league pressed for and got Pakistan with the connivance of the British. This will explain why the Muslim league Muslim League did not survive as a significant party in Pakistan. This is the reason why the Baluchi leader Ghaus Baksh Bizenjo has questioned the viability of Pakistan ideology. There is today a feeling in Pakistan that if India had not been divided, the three smaller provinces- Sind, the N.W .F.P. and Baluchistan would have enjoyed greater political economic and linguistic autonomy under the Indian Constitution than they do under the Pakistan Constitution of 1973.

In Pakistan the main beneficiary of partition was West Punjab. In the initial period following the partition, the Mujhahirs from India tended to dominate. Jinnah and Liaquat were not natives of Pakistan. However after the assassination of Liaquat Ali Khan, the Punjabis came into their own and ever since Pakistan politics have been largely their preserve. After the 1971 war and the loss of eastern wing, Punjabis constituted over 60 percent of the population of Pakistan. What is more they contribute nearly 75 percent of the man power of the armed forces. Today, Pakistan is West Punjab with a hinterland of three minor regions- Sind, N.W.F.P. and Baluchistan. When Pakistan was created, the Muslim League had no mass base in that country and over the years it has slowly withered.
Bhutto is well justified in claiming that in the entire history of Pakistan, he is the only elected political leader. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto served as the President of Pakistan from 1971 to 1973 and as Prime Minister from 1973 to 1977. He was the founder of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the largest and most influential political parties of Pakistan. His daughter Benazir Bhutto also served twice as prime minister; she was assassinated on December 27. 2007.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was elected on the slogan “Roti, Kapda, makan.” (food, clothing and shelter)

Whether Karunanidhi not ashamed of other misusing Powers?

Whether Karunanidhi not ashamed of other misusing Powers?

In Tamil Nadu social welfare minister Poongothai Aladi Aruna submitted her resignation, after being taped telling DVAC Director S K Upadhyay a police officer to dilute a corruption case against her relative. Chief Minister Karunanidhi in his statement stated, hat he cannot justify a Minister’s action to protect a relative who is facing corruption Charges and he feel ashamed. We don’t know, whether karunanidhi is ashamed only in Poongothai case. It is not known what was the DMK government’s stand was on other ministers allegedly misusing their office for similar ends.

Jain Commission Report.

In Jain commission report, Jain has quoted from a speech by the then Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar in the Lok Sabha on January 10, 1991. He had said: "Certain information that were just given to the chief minister (Karunanidhi) has gone to the LTTE headquarters not only in Tamil Nadu but even in Jaffna. This is something very serious." Whether Karunanidhi not ashamed for this?

Sarkaria Commission Report.

In the final report, the Sarkaria Commission came to the following conclusion on the allegations on the Veeranam scheme:
``It has been established that Shri. Karunanidhi, abusing his official position as Chief Minister, actuated with the motive to unduly favour Sathyanarayana Brothers with the award of the contract for the Veeranam project, directed the Chief Engineer, Shri. Hussain, to tailor his recommendations on the tenders in such a manner as would enable the Government to accept the tender of Sathyanarayana Bros...Whether Karunanidhi not ashamed for this?

[Former C.M.] Jayalalitha’s Statement.

Now the Opposition Party Leader Jayalalitha said in a statement here on Thursday, but warned chief minister MKarunanidhi against using it to take the moral high ground, as Union shipping and road transport minister T R Baalu faced a similar accusation of using his office in an attempt to influence a government official to grant favours for a company owned by his family.
“Poongothai had to resign because she was caught red-handed trying to influence an official. What about another minister in Karunandhi’s cabinet?” she asked, referring to Fisheries minister K P P Samy, who, she alleged, had barged into a police station with
his brother and freed some suspects from a lock-up.

Not only has Baalu refused to resign, he has even made out an argument that what he did was for the public good,” she said, and asked what happened to Karunanidhi’s moral high ground on such occasions.
She said the controversy also involved ‘telephone tapping’, and such larger issues were sought to be swept under the mat through the Poongothai incident. Even before the minister’s conversation with the vigilance officer had been disclosed in the media, the state chief secretary had been ‘unmasked’ trying to ‘influence’ the same officer over the phone, she said. She wanted to know whether phones were being tapped on the chief minister’s orders, or by police officers on their own. “Either he has to rein them in or resign,” Jayalalithaa said.

“Men are blind in their own cause.”

Tamil Nadu D.M.K. Minister caught on tape pleading for kin.

News papers in Tamil Nadu, like Times of India have published News, about, how a Minister who was elected for peoples welfare was misusing her powers for selfish matters. This is only a small incident and big matters have not yet come to light in the D.M.K. Ministry.

News Published in Tamil Nadu News Papers.

Asks Vigilance Officer to Go ‘Easy’ On Cousin
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government was hit by yet another phone-tapping controversy on Monday — a conversation involving a minister asking a vigilance officer to go “easy” on a relative facing corruption charges was revealed to the media. Social Welfare Minister Poongothai Aladi Aruna confirmed that the voice on the tape was hers, but said she was just inquiring about the status of the case and not pressurising the officer. The incident has come barely a few weeks after a similar incident involving a telephone conversation between the chief secretary and the same vigilance officer rocked the administration. The conversation between Poongothai and director of vigilance and anticorruption S K Upadhyay, pertaining to a pending probe against her relative, was disclosed in the form of an audio CD by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy. He told a press conference here that Poongothai had spoken to Upadhyay to get the case against her relative, an assistant electrical engineer, diluted and sent back to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) for ordinary disciplinary proceedings rather than criminal prosecution. “He’s actually my appa’s own sister’s son, my first cousin...if things has (sic) to be done, please go ahead. But at least make sure it is not very intense,” the voice on the tape is heard saying. Jawahar had been suspended after being caught accepting a bribe. As he was a relative of Poongothai, she tried to help him by speaking to Upadhyay, said Swamy. When contacted, Poongothai told TOI that she spoke to Upadhyay only to know the status of the case. “As a minister, I speak to officials everyday and it is part of my job. Jawahar is my relative and I wanted to know the status of the case. I’ve not done anything wrong and I have nothing to worry,” she said. Admitting that she had spoken to the DVAC chief twice about four months ago, the minister said she had not attempted to interfere with the case. “I just wanted to know the procedure being followed. As a political person, people approach me seeking help. But I’ve never tried to help anyone who had charges against him,” she added. Asked whether she was admitting that the voice in the tape was hers, Poongothai said, “You want me to deny it?
"I am not like other politicians to deny that it is not my voice.” The Minister is telling how other Ministers will behave if they got in a episode.

B.J.P. to be voted in Karnataka Elections.

B.J.P. to be voted in Karnataka Elections.

In Karnataka Congress has ruled over several times but no progress was seems to be achieved. Now the families of Prime Minister H.D.Deva Gowda, former C.M. S. Bangarappa and former Karnataka chief minister and BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa were standing in the poll scene. Whoever stands in the election, first they must think over the people’s problem like to control the rising prices of all commodities, which common people are daily using for their living.
While B.J.P was in power in central Government, the prices of all commodities were under control. In the name of secularism the oppositions joined hand and brought down the B.J.P. Government but of no use. In India-US Nuclear deal, the left in UPA and Congress were unable to take a final decision. Congress was unable to take a firm decision on any policy matter due to the interference of alliance parties.

In Rajiv assassination case, Congress/I brought down the UF government after Gujral rejected its demand that the DMK, the Tamil Nadu-based party allegedly linked to Rajiv Gandhi's assassination, be expelled from the UF coalition. As neither Congress/I nor the BJP could form a coalition government, new elections were called for February– March 1998. Now the Congress and D.M.K. are holding hand in UPA Government.
During NDA regime India emerged as an IT giant with Bangalore as its hub.
BJP ruled states are the top rankers when it comes to implementation of Central welfare schemes like NREG.
The much acclaimed growth rate of the UPA Government will give you a different picture if State wise figures are taken into consideration.
The States ruled by the BJP or the NDA have a much higher growth rate than the States ruled by the Congress or UPA constituents.
Gujarat is a State which BJP ruled for 12 years. When people analyse the 12 years of BJP rule in Gujarat with 30 years of CPM rule in West Bengal or15 years of RJD rule in Bihar or with 10 years of Congress rule in Madhya Pradesh, they find a stark contrast between the Governments run by other parties and by the BJP.
If we compare the development undertaken by the BJP led NDA Government in 6 years and by the Congress for nearly 50 years it becomes evident that only the BJP led NDA could provide a meaningful and sustainable development since Independence.

The BJP promises the people of Karnataka that it would leave no stone unturned in ushering in an era of comprehensive development in the State and no section of the society would be left untouched from its effect.

As a Indian faith in India and its cultural values, Vote for B.J.P. in Karnataka without fear or favour.

Aryans are native of Bharatam only.

Aryans are native of Bharatam only.

“Arya” word emphasis, Noble, Respected, High-born, elderly, Cultured and denotes the people, who believed in and lived up to a well-defined cultural systems. The problem of the Aryas has become insoluble because it is based on the assumption of a common language, a common race and a common Home. All these are mere guesses. There is no archaeological or any other proof to support these guesses. A study of the Indian literature, religion, philosophy, society and political economic organizations clearly shows that the Aryas of India and the so-called Indo-Europeans of Europe and other parts of Asia belonged to the entirely different civilizations.
The similarity of languages is superficial and cannot be taken to be the basis of a common home. Therefore, there is no sense in the theory that the Aryas lived originally in one single home outside India. They were undoubtedly the natives of India.
We have to see, in the huge Sanskrit literature there is no mention of any place outside India, from which Aryas could have migrated here. On the contrary, the authors of the Vedas, the Purina’s and the Epics declare their deep love and devotion to their mother land Bharata, and invest it with all holiness. They also describe in the Rig-Veda-the earliest literary work of mankind-their home, particularly, the Sapta-Sindhu region, to fully and in so many details as to leave the doubts about their being the sons of this Sacred soil.
The whole subject of the Aryan problem is a farrago of linguistic speculations or archaeological imaginations complicated by racial prejudices and
chauvinistic xenophobia.
On the evidence of Puranas, scholars like F.E.Pargiter have shown that the Aryas went of India and settled different parts of the earth. They are originators of all early civilizations. This view is further supported by the evidence of common place names, names of rulers, gods, social systems of common life’s and practices of the people of Sumerian, Egypt, Persia and other ancient civilizations.

There is no doubt about the fact that Aryas lived in Bharatam from the times immemorial.

E.V.R. [Leader. Dravidar Kazhagam] hatred speeches aimed at Tamil and Tamil literatures.

1. By reading Tamil, you will become only an exponent of Religion and you cannot become an intellectual Person. If one man reads Tamil more and more his eyes will only read the back side of his body and he cannot able to see the frontside.
[Vidutalai News paper. 15-10-1962]
2. Because of your praising Tamil, whether one horn will grow for it? If I say no God prayer is required, immediately you are creating Tamil Mothers prayer, is it correct to justify foolishness with one other?
[Viduthalai. 13-4-1972]

3. By Tamil litratures, we become idiots...
[Viduthalai. 13-10-1967]

4. For creating to the level of General knowledge, there is nothing in Tamil.
[Periyar E.V.R. Thoughts. Portion.II]

5. Not only there is no Tamil literature created, but also there is no rare creative literature available in Tamil.
[Periar Computer. Portion II]

The Atheist group in Tamil Nadu Greets E.V.Ramasamy Naicker as “Thanthai Periyaer”. But you can see from periyar speeches, how much he degraded the Tamil language and the Tamil people. There are several literatures available in Tamil like Thirukkural, Silappathikaram, Athichoodi, Naladiar, Kamba Ramayanam and a lot of other similar literatures. Periyar rejecting those Tamil literatures, because they are praising the God.

In all the countries, the literatures of the concerned country are praising about their God and Religion. Are the leader’s of that country are telling, whether the people reading their literatures are fool?

Men are judged by Manners.

When Relations with Kashmir issue going to be be resolved ?

When Relations with Kashmir issue going to be be resolved ?

It is clear that the Homeland Muslims, for which Jinnah had struggled is in effect being used as an instrument for creating and maintaining tension with India and adding stress to the later’s economy. Subversion and arming of Indian Nationals are resorted to as in the case of the Nagas and Mizos. These and similar other actions couple with its negative responses to India’s offers of friendship and no-war pacts are good enough indication of the lack of desire on the part of Pakistan for friendship relations with the neighbour.

In Jannuary 1950 the Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru first offered a no-war pact and for many other reasons, he wrote in a letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan “it is enevitable that many issues arise between the two countries which require settlement. A firm declaration that will in any event settle them by peaceful methods will itself be a great service to our teo countries and the world, because it will remove fear of war from the minds of our people.” This led to a corrospondence between the two Prime Ministers which lasted nearly a year. The Prime Minister of Pakistan viewed the matter differently. He argued that such a declaration would not eliminate tension which was caused by the continuance of the Kashmir issue and other Indo-Pakistan problem. He proposed that there should be a clear cut proceedure with an agreed time-table which would make it binding on both Governments to carry through the settlement of their disputes to its peaceful conclusuion. For example from the date declaration two months could be allowed for negotiations and another two months for mediation if negotiations failed , afterwhich the unresolved dispute or disputes should be referred automatically to arbitration.
Nehru saw no objection to a justiciable dispute like the one relationg to evacuee propertybeing referred to arbitration, after other methods of settlement had failed. But political Disputes like the one relationg to Kashmir, he added could be settled in
the last resort only by agreement between the two Governments. No reply was forth coming from the Pakistan Prime Minister to Nehrus simple question

Prime Minister Vajpayee about Kashmir issue.

Prime Minister Vajpayee clearly spelt out India's approach to relations with Pakistan in his comments to the visiting general in Agra. He spoke of the need for a "comprehensive view" of Indo-Pakistan relations involving a "broad based" approach to our relations. He candidly referred to problems posed by Pakistani support for terrorism in Kashmir and elsewhere. He also dwelt at length on issues of concern in India like the continued detention of Indian PoWs, the haven and support provided by Pakistan to people involved in the Bombay bomb blasts and in organized crime like Dawood Ibrahim, the hijackers of IC 814 and to residual terrorist elements who have been engaged in terrorist activities in Punjab.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh about Kashmir issue.

When the Manmohan Singh-Musharraf meeting took place, its outcome was measured in terms of the Pakistani agenda and Pakistani demands. The media story was that India rejected a pullout of troops from the terrorist-infested Kupwara and Baramulla districts or a reduction in army deployments across the valley. In other words, India was cast negatively, with Pakistan proposing steps for 'forward movement' and India rejecting them.

1 March 2006

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has initiated talks with different Kashmiri groups and leaders in order to broaden the ongoing dialogue. The 25 February roundtable conference was the first significant beginning in this regard. Apart from the conference, PM Singh has separately met with Kashmiri leaders like Yasin Malik and discussed steps towards resolving the Kashmir issue.

BJP leader L.K. Advani about Kashmir Issue.

Mr. Advani said though the Kashmir problem would take time to resolve, he was optimistic that a day would come when India and Pakistan would form a confederation to solve the issue.
He stressed that cross-border terrorism was the bone of contention in the peace process.

Still the kashmir issue between the two contries is unsolved and standing as a question Mark. We don’t know who is going to bell the cat?

There are fifteen other’s who lost their lives along with Rajiv Gandhi in May21, 1991 at Sriperumbudur.

Extract from Jain Commission Interim ReportAugust 1997

Justice Milap Chand Jain ceremonially presented his 17-volume interim report on Rajiv Gandhi's assassination to Home Minister Indrajit Gupta on August 28. The commission had been asked to look into the circumstances of and the conspiracy leading to Rajiv's murder
The commission has quoted two reports of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) that speak of Karunanidhi not being averse to the elimination of EPRLF leaders by LTTE hit squads. These reports, filed on June 28, 1990 (nine days after Padmanabha's murder) referred to "the chief minister informing Natesan (an LTTE activist) to provide advance information regarding LTTE movements and also sought details of locations of LTTE hideouts to direct the police to keep away from such places". The IB also recorded the "opinion expressed by the chief minister regarding Padmanabha being a betrayer". Another report quoted by Jain claims the "chief minister also told Natesan that killing of Padmanabha was a necessity and so also of Vardaraja Perumal and that Natesan should ensure that he (Karunanidhi) was taken into confidence before such acts are committed". The commission has also recorded the evidence of former state home secretary R. Nagarajan, which further indicts Karunanidhi: "Nagarajan has deposed that the DGP informed him that the chief minister has asked him (DGP) that the police need not evince keen interest to trace out the culprits in the Padmanabha massacre till his arrival the next day for further instructions from him." To drive home the point, the commission has quoted extensively from Chidambaram's speech to the Lok Sabha on February 25, 1991, in which he claimed that the movement of senior eprlf leaders "was conveyed by the state police to the LTTE". Padmanabha's killing is important because it was the same hit squad that was later deployed to eliminate Rajiv.
If that isn't enough to damage Karunanidhi, the commission has quoted other documents and various statements given to it by former LTTE activists. For example, Kasi Anandan, a senior member of the 10-member central committee of the LTTE's political wing, admitted in his deposition on September 11, 1996, that "the LTTE had very friendly relations with Karunanidhi. In the days of Karunanidhi as CM, movement of LTTE was more free. Local administration was also friendly in Tamil Nadu". Anandan even disclosed that the "LTTE was able to communicate from Jaffna to Tamil Nadu when the V.P. Singh government was at the Centre and the Karunanidhi government in Tamil Nadu."
Jain has recorded vivid details of the LTTE's free access to Karunanidhi and key state government officials. Anandan revealed that he, along with another LTTE leaders, used to meet Karunanidhi in strict privacy: "I have met Karunanidhi several times alone and once or twice with Natesan." Neither the Tamil Nadu government nor the Centre had any clue as to what transpired in these meetings.
Indeed, the Jain Commission report has raised doubts over the DMK's committment to the centrally sponsored action plan for handling the LTTE. It has alleged that even coded messages between the Centre and the state government were promptly relayed to the LTTE leaders in Jaffna. "There is evidence to show that, during this period, some of the most vital wireless messages were passed between the LTTE operatives based in Tamil Nadu and Jaffna. These messages, which were decoded later, are directly related to the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi.''
To substantiate this point, Jain has quoted from a speech by the then Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar in the Lok Sabha on January 10, 1991. He had said: "Certain information that were just given to the chief minister (Karunanidhi) has gone to the LTTE headquarters not only in Tamil Nadu but even in Jaffna. This is something very serious."
Deposing before the commission on January 17 this year, Karunanidhi asserted: "I had supported the LTTE along with other parties, but after the murder of Padmanabha, I withdrew my support." Jain is, however, disinclined to accept this denial: "It cannot be found that after June 19, 1990, the DMK government in Tamil Nadu gave no support to the LTTE."

Despite 12 extensions and the ridicule Jain suffered, Jain's findings may prove as devastating as the bomb that went off in Sriperumbudur six years ago. But the judge is unfazed by the implications of his findings. "I have done my job to the best of my ability," he says," even under adverse circumstances and non-cooperation. Now, it is for the Government to do whatever it wants to do."
In Sriperumbudur Bomb explosion, Not only Rajiv Gandhi, there are fifteen other Policemen and Congress functionaries, who lost their lives along with Rajiv Gandhi in May21, 1991 at Sriperumbudur. Their families are still shedding tears and remembering the searching of the bodies of their beloved father, son and other friends in the midnight at Sriperumbudur ground and the Hospital’s. It is not known, who is going to wipe their tears?
Now, Nalini an accused in the Rajiv case, cites good conduct, and now files plea for early release. Nalini may be having good conduct. Good conduct alone will not serve any purpose. Without fear or favour, she must talk about the truth, that who are all behind the Rajiv assassination plot. Then only her plea for release will be justified. Even if she was released, Confession will only give her mental peace.

Pakistan after Partition never allowed Minorities to hold the highest office.

Pakistan after Partition never allowed Minorities to hold the highest office.

No member of a minority can hold the highest office in Pakistan under its present constitution. No Hindu has held any portfolio in the Central Government. No Hindu held a Chief Justice or a judge or similar other position. And yet there are more than eight million Hindus in Pakistan. Ability and integrity are of no consequence. In other words the minorities are suspect. The two-nation theory applied in practice with a vengeance.

After living together for several years, today it is being discovered that Hindus and Muslims are separate and under no circumstances they can be identified with each other. After the establishment of Pakistan, the minority community has demanded to be known simply as Pakistan citizen and wanted only citizenship, communal rights, and national integration. It had supported joint electorates even at its own cost. But to day it has become clear that it is impossible to build up a unified nation in Pakistan.

This would suggest only a Muslim can be a national of Pakistan. Strangely enough, all Muslims in Pakistan are not being treated as its nationals. Some of them are pushed surreptitiously into Assam and also Burma and when evicted by the Government concerned are dubbed are Indian nationals. The Indian census figure for 196i show that there was an increase of 25.6 percent in the population of Muslims in India during 1951-61, against the overall increase of 21.5 percent in the population of India. Now it may several folds higher. Not only could there be no question of Muslims leaving India. Muslims from Pakistan had infact been infiltrating into the surrounding Indian states of West Bengal, Assam and Tirupura in large numbers. This is also proved by Pakistan census figures.

The Indian census figures in the neighbouring border districts of Indian states are complementary and reveal that the population Muslims in Tirupura rose by 68 percent, in Darjeeling by 200 percent , in Dinajpur by 74 percent, in Malda by 62 percent, in Garo hills by 49 percent and in Khasi and Jaintia Hill Districts by 88 percent. Considering the overall increase in the Muslim population in India as a whole was 25.6 percent [!961 figures].

According to the 2001 census there are around 151 million Muslims in India.

There have been three Muslim presidents of India, Dr. Zakir Hussain, Dr Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Hussain was elected President of India on May 13, 1967. In his inaugural speech he said that the whole of India was his home and all its people were his family.

Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed (was President of India from 1974 to 1977.

Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam , was the eleventh President of India, serving from 2002 to 2007

During Partition Buddhists and Christians, have been forced out of East Pakistan.

The Nehru-Liaquat Agreement on 8th April 1950 made an important provision about minorities. Article ‘A’ of the Agreement stated. The Government of India and Pakistan solemnly agree that each shall ensure to the minorities throughout in territory complete equality of citizenship, irrespective of religion, a full sense of security inrespect of life, culture, property and personal honour, freedom of movement within ach country and freedom of occupation, speech and worship, subject to law and mortality. Members of the minorities shall have equal opportunity with members of the majority community to participate in the public life of their country, to hold political or other office, and to serve in their country’s civil and armed forces. Both Governments declare these rights to be fundamental and undertake to enforce them effectively. The Prime Minister of India has drawn attention to the effect that these rights are guaranteed to all minorities in India by its constitution. The Prime Minister of Pakistan pointed out that similar provision exists in the objectives Resolution adopted by the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan. It is the policy of both Governments that the employment of these democratic rights to assured to all their nationals without distinction.

No one can pretend that in India there have been no regrettable communal incidents since the Agreement was signed. What can be claimed is that, in spite of the poisonous propaganda by the Muslim League prior to the partition and by Pakistan after it, the Government of India and the State Governments have tried their best to adhere to the principle and purpose of secular democracy. Many idependant authorities, including several Islamic states, have acclaimed the gradual but increasing success of this policy.
In Pakistan on the other hand, the treatment of minorities leaves them as only second-class citizens, serving as targets for periodic, officially mass attacks on their life, honour and property. Thousands of communal incidents have taken place in the two wings of Pakistan on most of which the Government of India and the state Government concerned have had to lodge protests with the Pakistan authorities, though in vain. The squeeze is put on helpless minorities to force them to flee to India and in the process to seize their property, to molest their women and subject them to forced conversion. There are hardly any minorities left in West Pakistan, and, already, nearly five million inhabitants, including Buddhists and Christians, have been forced out of East Pakistan. Discrimination is exercised against minorities in employment, business and rent remittance a s a matter of policy, and their immovable properties are requisitioned or acquired by force. They are also subject a systematic and discriminating denial in passport and visa facilities. This was the situation during the partition period.
